Version 5.4.7 of Solicitor Case Manager has been released and is accompanied by Release Notes available from the Case Manager Resources section of the website.

This is intended for the Bookkeeper / Cashier / Administrator within your business who uses any of the OPSIS Products:-
UK & Ireland VAT Rate Changes - 1st January 2010
It is now 13 months since the British government reduced the Value Added Tax (VAT) from 17.5% to 15% and we are fast approaching the time to reverse this, which is due on 1st January 2010.
Due to the change in VAT announced, you will need to adjust the standard VAT rate in Millennium Accounts and/or in Solicitor Case Manager.
Two PDF documents detailing the method to change VAT Rates back up to 17.5% have been created for your convenience:-
Before you make any such change in Millennium Accounts, ensure that all of your postings in the current period which have the current standard VAT rate of 15% applied to them are posted.

If you have Precedents and Case Details (UD fields) which automatically calculate the VAT it is necessary for both of these areas to be amended, in all precedent Starter Packs, and any additional precedents or case details you may have created which utilise VAT formulas:-

Latest Version: 5.77.1 This release has one addition over 5.77.0; the LSC Bulk Load has been adjusted to correctly identify VAT on Counsel Fees. This issue may be useful for any Legal Aid customers who do Immigration Work including Vatable Counsel disbursements. As this is an intermediate version release the database does not need upgrading from 5.77.0, only the programs. Click

Here you will find the latest information regarding legal aid updates made to our Millennium Accounts software to comply with changes required by the Legal Services Commission.
This release has one addition over 5.77.0; the LSC Bulk Load has been adjusted to correctly identify VAT on Counsel Fees. This issue may be useful for any Legal Aid customers who do Immigration Work including Vatable Counsel disbursements.

Overview
The Millennium Accounts release of 5.77 is now available.
It is primarily for Civil Legal Aid requirements that come into effect on the 9th November 2009 and Civil providers should install this update on that date or as soon after as is practical.
Since this release applies to only a few of our customers we are contacting them directly to arrange their updates.
We are dedicated to making sure our product keeps pace with the requirements for Legal Aid practitioners, you can help by giving us your views and feedback.

Weblink Online Case Information system is an application service hosted on our Weblink Server. Click here to learn how your company web site can link to OPSIS Weblink to provide Online Case Information services to your clients. |
Weblink is an Internet service designed to be available 24hrs a day, 7 days a week. However there will be times when the service is not available due to planned maintenance times (details can be see at the Service Announcements page) or inevitably, there may be problems with the server or internet access. We have a monitoring system in place to check that all is running smoothly, and that notifies OPSIS Support immediately if something does go wrong.
Customers can see the current status at any time by viewing the Weblink Server Status Page.
For terms and conditions of the Weblink service please refer to the Weblink Application Services License Agreement, and for specifications of the level of availability that we aim to provide see the Support Level Agreement.
Please make sure your main server and all PC's anti-virus software is completely up to date with the latest virus definitions, by checking the Version and latest Date, and then choosing the Update option appropriate to your type of anti-virus software.
Please note that Opsis do not provide support for Anti-Virus software.
For Virus removal tools it is best to use the resources available at your vendors website resources or the Symantec Norton Anti-Virus centre where you will find up to date information, instructions and downloadable virus removal tools.
